Project Coordinator

Keira Thornton is a public service–driven professional with a passion for strengthening communities through collaboration, research, and data-informed decision-making. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy, as well as a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management, both from Arizona State University. As part of her graduate work, she partnered with the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs to enhance emergency response coordination across the state.

In addition to her work in the public sector, Keira brings a strong background in higher education, where she supported student success initiatives, guided prospective students through the enrollment process, and provided team leadership through mentoring and training. She is particularly passionate about emergency management, community resilience, and developing innovative, forward-thinking strategies to address complex public sector challenges.

Keira supports JGA through project coordination that aligns timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to ensure efficient, standards driven outcomes. Her favorite JGA value is Humility, which reflects her appreciation for the generosity, expertise, and selflessness that define the JGA team. Outside of work, Keira enjoys beach walks, dinner parties, watercolor painting, and time outdoors, bringing creativity and balance to her work.
